Sunday School

We use Sola Publishing's Sunday Schoolhouse curriculum, which aims to increase biblical literacy and help the children understand the Scriptures as the Word of God for us today.

Baptism

Pre-Baptismal instruction is offered by the Pastor to baptizands, parents, and sponsors.

First Communion

Instruction is offered at the age when a child desires the sacrament and parents believe that the child is ready.

Confirmation

We offer a three year program, usually taken in grades 6, 7, and 8. Our program incorporates Luther's Small Catechism, Bible study, and liturgical catechesis. Young people are confirmed on the Day of Pentecost.

An Outline of Catechesis

2022-2023 is Year One of this curriculum.

All learning opportunities at All Saints spring from our understanding that we are part of the Great Tradition of the Church, stretching from Christ and his Apostles to this day. Within this one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church, we are part of the Lutheran confessing movement. ("Confessing" in this context means "confession of the truth," not "confession of sin.") The best way to begin to understand what Lutherans mean when we call ours a Confessional Church, is to read the Augsburg Confession of 1530.
